Catching Up!

Hope you are ready for this because this is going to be a long post.  Here was our month of December.  We always have the end of the semester Christmas shows.  This first picture is Savanna at her orchestra concert.  She is getting pretty good at the violin.  It is her second year of playing.  She even played a song with the sixth graders.
Taylor Jr. High Christmas concerts are always amazing.  Kelsey is still working for the teacher so the actions were great!  Jaycie did a great job singing and performing.
This year Savanna joined a childrens choir.  They sang a song with the Taylor Teen Tones at their concert and at the temple visitors center.  This picture is at the temple.  The choir also sang with the Peace Choir.  They had 2 performances at 2 churches.  They sang 3 songs with that choir.  She had a lot of fun doing that.
Savanna's dance studio put on a Christmas recital.  Savanna had a lot of dances but here are a few pictures.  This one is her clogging.
I love these blue costumes, I think they are very pretty.

The Jarvis Christmas Party was a lot of fun.  Here is Jake frosting his sugar cookie.
The nativity!  We even had a few animals this year.
 Savanna was the donkey!!
We didn't have enough small children so Jake and Kyle were the wise men.  Aren't they studly?!!!!
We had the bells again.  All ages seem to enjoy this.  We play Christmas songs with pipe bells.  Each bell is a certain note.
They all look so intense looking at the poster to make sure they play when they are suppose to.  This was Barry's first Jarvis Christmas Party!
I think Karissa is really enjoying it!
There is a great house in Grandpa and Grandma's neighborhood that really has a great Christmas lights display. So, we stopped by on our way home. This is just a small look.
This picture is maybe a fourth of what is all over this house.  I is sooooooo cooooool!!!
Of course on the 22nd is Kali and my mothers birthday.  Kali turned 23 and my mother turned 83.
Christmas Eve we always go look at Christmas lights around the city.  At one house there is always this cute Santa that all the kids can sit on his lap and take a picture.  His house is all decorated too.
On Christmas Eve we open our PJ's.  Here's Rob's!
The boys all got matching Phoenix Suns basketball shorts.  This was also Barry's first Christmas with us.  Aren't they soooooo cute?!!
CHRISTMAS MORNING!!  What did Santa bring?  Jaycie got a camera.  If you look close you will also see she has braces now.  She got them on the Monday before Christmas.  Those are her cute PJ's.  They have volleyballs on them.
Savanna's new PJ's and look at the slippers.  They are moose heads.
Jake's pride and joy.  New football gloves.  That's his tough look.
 Aren't those cool gloves?!!!
Jaycie with her new cool sunglasses!
Kelsey got these nice boots.  Those are her PJ's too.  They have soccer balls all over them.
My sister gave Rob and I the best and funniest gift ever.  Rob and I's first movie we ever saw together was "The Christmas Story."  My sister found this small version of the lovely lamp that the father in the movie won.  So, she had to get it for us.  If you have never seen the movie rent it.  It is a classic!
Of course we put it together and put it in our front window for all to see.  Yes, this lamp will be up every Christmas from now on.  LOVE IT!!
A few days after Christmas you wont believe what happened.  Yes, that is SNOW on my trampoline.  We had snow!  Not much and it didn't last long but it did SNOW in MESA!!! WOW!!
If you have made it to the end on this post congrats!!  Last but not least,  Karissa had a party at our house with some of her high school friends.  A lot are away at school and were in town for the holidays.  Aren't they the cutest?!!  5 are married.  2 have a baby.  1 will leave on a mission in March.  All but 2 are in school. (The 2 with babies)  1 will be getting married in a few months. 1 left right after Christmas to be a nanny in New York.  They loved getting together and catching up with each others lives.  I am grateful for the good friends Karissa grew up with.  They helped make her who she is.  Hope you all had a great Christmas season and hope you have a Happy New Year!!!
