Savanna Suns game and Jaycie Soccer

Savanna's dance company was able to dance at the Phoenix Suns halftime.  In the picture above that is Savanna front and center on the jumbotron.
It was really fun for the girls to dance on the Suns floor.  That is Savanna right in the middle of the Suns logo on the middle of the floor.
 That girl has attitude!!

 It was a fun night!
I thought I better bring you up to date on Jaycie and Mesa High Soccer.  She just played the last game of the season last night.  She has been the starting goalie for the JV team and also team captain.
Jaycie has really improved throughout the season.  She hadn't played in a year and hadn't played goal in 2 years.

She was also the back up goalie for Varsity.  Meaning after she played JV she had to stay for the Varsity game too.  Basically she was on both teams.  She ended up playing in 2 1/2 Varsity games when the starting goalie got hurt.  Meaning on 2 nights she ended up playing soccer for 3 1/2 hours.  Playing all of the JV game and then turning around and playing all of the Varsity game.
Last night was the last game of the season.  Jaycie never had a uniform for either team.  She always wore the goalie stuff.  Last night in between the 2 games a girl comes walking out of the locker room and I don't recognize the varsity player.  Then I look closer and its Jaycie.  They game her a uniform and she played defender for varsity.  Surprise, Surprise.  The second half she played goalie because the other goalie got hurt again.  Mesa was playing Corona Del Sol.  They are always a good team but they only scored on Jaycie 1 time.  She has had a great season.  Don't forget she has been playing club volleyball right now too.  She has been very busy but has kept her grades up and has done well for both teams.  Way to go Jaycie!  We are so proud of you!!!

Christmas

I thought I better put some pictures up from Christmas.  We had a great Christmas.  On Christmas Eve we all jumped in the car and went looking at Christmas lights. We always stop by this house every year.  It is always decorated full out and Santa Claus is always there.
This huge snowman is always up.  This year they must of put dry ice in his pipe because smoke was coming out of the pipe.  Way CUTE!
Savanna with Santa Claus.  She is finally to old for Santa.  I had to make her sit on his lap so I could get a picture.  She was a good sport.
On Christmas eve we always open one present that has new PJ'S.  Here is Brooklyn in hers.
All the kids by the Christmas Tree.  (Why is everyone smiling cute and Barry has a real scary face?)
Santa brought us a family IPAD.
Jaycie got a paint ball gun.  Now she has her very own.
Rob's new pj's.  I got this for him.  If you can't see it, the picture is Ralphie from Christmas Story and it says "You'll shoot your eye out kid."  That movie was the first movie Rob and I saw together.  It has became a Christmas tradition.  Last year my sister gave us the lamp.
All my 11 year old daughter wanted for Christmas was beef jerky from the McFarland's that live in our ward. (It is Brother McFarland's business)
Rob got this wonderful  new ice cream maker.  It is the best!!!
 Kelsey and her new boots.
Do you love Brooklyn's bow?  Her Grandma Ashe gave it to her.  Soooooo CUTE!
The kids that live at home with me gave me this great fire pit.  Kason and Kali gave me the marshmallow sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate.  So, the day after Christmas we made homemade ice cream and smores.  It was great!!  Only in Arizona can you sit outside by a fire pit, eat homemade ice cream, and have smores.   FUN  FUN   FUN

Kelsey and Taylor

Kelsey and I went up to Utah on Dec. 28 to go see this guy give his homecoming talk on Jan. 1st.  This picture is when we got to his house.  They haven't seen each other in 2 1/2 years.  They look really happy don't they?
Jan. 1st homecoming talk day.  Taylor did a really good job.  He talked for 25 minutes.  It never got boring.  I was impressed.

Saying good-bye at the airport Jan. 4th.  It was a fun week except no snow!!
